12 Nov Scripture Reflection

Pray for joy and steadfast endurance in the face of persecution.

“Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you”  (Matthew 5:10-12).

“To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps”  (1 Peter 2:21).

Church history tells us that the church grows the most when persecution is present.

Pray that believers will endure persecution in a Christ-like manner, willing to give our lives for the sake of the gospel if that is what God ordains for us.

Pray that God will protect us from the evil one when we are persecuted for the sake of Christ.
